“In my parents bookshelf was a book called American Pictures by the Danish author and photographer Jakob Holdt. As a 10 year old boy I could sit for hours looking at the pictures in this book. Later I also read the different text parts.

I believe this book formed my way of understanding rascime, inequality and the need for tolerance, as well as a deep fascination of the american society”.
